5 STARS We had a wonderful visit. Everything was in great condition and there was plenty of room for all of us. We accidentally turned the pilot light off on the fireplace and emailed the manager and they had someone over to relight it within a couple hours. Great service!! We will definitely be back. 5 STARS Love this cabin! It's cozy and serene. Everything was new and well cared for. The kitchen is beautiful and is well stocked with cookware and utensils. The living room is inviting and comfortable with a fabulous view of the river. The bathrooms are warm, clean, and a good size. The two master bedrooms are beautifully furnished and perfect for two couples (though it was only me and my husband on this trip). The mattress was so comfortable we had to ask what it was for future reference (DreamCloud). It was too chilly for us to hang out by the river or fire pit, but I sure loved walking down to the river periodically to watch it go by and listen to its soothing rushing water. It is mere steps away from the porch. I hate to add anything 'negative', but I must mention two things. First, the directions provided in the email specified 10.7 miles (pretty specific distance) once we turned onto 52, but it was only 6 miles before our next turn. We saw billboards for one of the orchards as soon as we were on 52 that said the orchard was 8 miles ahead, but our turn was well before that orchard. So that gave us a little hiccup getting there. Second, the driveway doesn't require a 4-wheel drive vehicle, but it would help. We were in a 2-wheel drive SUV and had a little trouble with traction (probably because of the fallen leaves) the first time leaving the cabin, but once we knew we needed a little run at the first incline we had no trouble getting in or out. We were told the driveway will be repaired soon, so this probably won't be an issue for long. I'm only including these two things to be helpful for future guests to have a perfect visit to Camp Cartecay. We loved it and will be back! Date of arrival - November 2, 2021

5 STARS Perfect cabin for the family! The cabin is spacious and secluded. The set of swings by the river were a perfect place to relax. Once you find the cabin I recommend that you drop a pin so you are able to easily find the cabin again.

5 STARS The day before our family vacation, the cabin I'd rented had an emergency repair and our reservation was canceled. I went online and found this cabin. It looked nice but had no reviews, so I crossed my fingers and booked it. I'm so glad I did! Communication with the rental management company was quick and friendly. We got all the info we needed via phone and email. We had one minor problem during our stay, but Tina from the management company came out right away and fixed it. She was super friendly! The cabin is very clean, and everything is new/updated. The bear theme throughout is so cute! We had everything we needed, including roasting sticks for marshmallows. Our favorite part was the back porch, where we would sit in the morning and evening and watch the deer. It was so quiet and peaceful! There's plenty of room to spread out. The master suite is on the second floor, with a nice loft area just outside the door. The main level has 2 bedrooms and a full bath, and there's another bedroom and bath downstairs. My teens liked having their own space. Also, we could all hang out on the comfy couches and watch TV or hang out together. I would've been happy just staying at the cabin for our whole trip, but we did venture out and do some fun stuff. Ellijay has a nice small-town vibe, with lots of nice shops and restaurants along Main St. The cabin is in a large resort community with 8 miles of hiking trails, and lots of amenities. We saw more deer than we could count! We would definitely stay here again! 10/10 would recommend! Date of arrival - October 8, 2021

5 STARS We loved our week at river of dreams. The entire family had a great time and this property is perfect for tubing down the river and trying to catch fish. We did not venture out very often as the winding roads are a bit intense but we had all we needed! The deer watching was probably everyones favorite part and seeing all the babies was a neat sight.
